Veligandu Island Resort & Spa have arranged a candlelight buffet dinner under the stars
on the Dhonveli Restaurant beach to celebrate Earth Hour
this Saturday March 25, 2017.
Turning off lights for an hour may seem like a simple task, yet the overall effect can be massive. The Island decided to switch off lights and take part in this worldwide inspirational event to help alleviate the negative effects of climate change.
Every year, the Resort participate in Earth Hour, the world’s largest collective environmental action for climate change by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) who encourages responsible energy usage by switching off lights for one hour to reduce the carbon footprint.
The Veligandu Team believes this contribution to #ChangeClimateChange
is a necessary and the Earth Hour as a wonderful opportunity to tackle climate change along with the many other green and tread lightly initiatives the Resort had taken for a sustainable future for the Maldives.
