5. Ms. Dorothy’s 41st, 42nd and 43rd visits
In 2018, and on three separate occasions, Veligandu welcomed our long-time repeat guest, Ms. Dorothy, popularly known around the island as Ms. Dotty. It has become customary for our management and the entire resort team to organize a unique and special welcome, each with creativity and ‘pizzazz’.

3. New features and improvements
One of the most popular new features at Veligandu is the exciting Drone Package that allows you to capture your travel pictures from our latest DJI drone technology. The package includes a scenic trip to the nearby Madivaru Finolhu Island for a 2-hour photoshoot session with our professional and friendly photographers at Raalhu Photo.
Thundi Bar’s redesign is complete and reflects the laid-back atmosphere of the island with a key focus on a natural look and eco-friendly interior, specifically designed with the environment in mind and the use of natural materials.
We have also upgraded our arrival and departure pavilion with welcoming, contemporary and yet indigenous features for the comfort of our guests. August 29, 2018 marked the first arrival on the new pavilion and another special moment for 2018.
2. Made enhancements to the All Inclusive Plus package
Thanks to your feedback, we have made enhancements to our All Inclusive Plus package to offer you more value for money on your holiday in the Maldives. The enhancements include the long-awaited special snack menu with pizzas and ice cream, as well as delicious milkshakes and smoothies.
