So, Veligandu Island Resort & Spa has decided to observe this year’s International Woman’s Day by showcasing the impressive progress of diverse women at all levels of the career ladder and life moments by celebrating and including women on the island, team members and guests alike.
At Veligandu Maldives, forging positive changes are not limited to a day but is on the island business agenda throughout the year. Guests at Veligandu will see the female team members across the island, from chefs, guest services, heads of departments, resort doctor, dive team to photography team and even ladies drumming the welcome beats during guest arrivals. Some not shown in the video due to operational demands yet silently working with the rest of the Veligandu team to make the Veligandu resort into the heaven it’s renowned for.
A gender-equal world matter to all of us, and for all of the ways in which this can positively impact women. It can also positively impact men and reduce the negativities of the pandemic, creating successful economies and communities in the Maldives and across the world.
