Celebrating World Environment Day 2021 at Veligandu Island Resort & Spa
Veligandu Island Resort & Spa, part of Crown & Champa Resorts, the leading resort collection in the Maldives, has launched another eco-inspired video as part of World Environment Day 2021.Â
With this initiative, the secluded island  joins the UN's World Environment Day, one of the most significant global events for positive actions towards preserving and protecting the planet with this year's theme 'Ecosystem Restoration', under the slogan 'Reimagine. Recreate. Restore'.
The video presents Veligandu's commitment to the environment, with its various long-term planet-conscious efforts, including energy optimisation, waste management, sustainable supplies, and marine conservation projects.

World Environment Day 2021 VideoÂ
To celebrate the global environmental initiative even further, the resort has organised several activities such as island and house reef cleaning in collaboration with Ocean Maldives, an awareness-raising session for guests and team members to gain valuable insight into global climate change and the Maldives' thriving ecosystem, and a 'nature-inspired' dining experience, featuring a sustainably sourced menu served in a blissful beachside setting.
