Veligandu Island Beach in the Maldives is crowned the 2021 World Champion of Beaches by Kiwi

We are thrilled to share that travellers have spoken and chosen Veligandu Island Resort & Spa's beach as the Best Beach in the World.

The travel website Kiwi. com organised the World Championship of Beaches on Instagram and was open for public voting.

Veligandu Island Resort & Spa's beach was the only beach representing the Maldives in the competition, beating famous beach destinations such as Greece, Portugal, Thailand, and Venezuela. In the finals, Veligandu Island Beach was announced the winner with 51% of the votes against Anse Cocos, a beach in Seychelles.
