We had welcomed 2021 under the new normal, whereby our priority was to create a safe holiday experience for all our guests, which Veligandu triumphed. We are very proud to maintain exceptionally positive feedback from our guests and partners throughout the year 2021. Our guests experienced fantastic secluded haven tales during their stays. So much so, that the Maldives and Veligandu became their favourite safe holiday destination during this time.
We are forever grateful to our guests for having expressed such positive feedback about their stay with us, in person and on different online channels, including social media. We have wrapped our 2021 journey 🎬 by opening the book of 2022, where 365 days of adventures await. 2022 is promising, especially with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Tourism 🎬 in the Maldives, which started back in 1972 with a group of Italian tourists who stayed in Male’, the capital city of the Maldives. Back then, the tourists visited picnic islands nearby Male’ for sun, sand and sea. However, today, Maldives is one of the leading tourist destinations in the world. The Maldives tourism industry anticipates welcoming two million tourists within the year 2022. We invite everyone to visit the Maldives and ardently wait to greet all our guests to the secluded island this year and participate in celebrating this Golden Year. If you are enthusiastic about history, Veligandu has a collection of old photographs showcasing the resort's past, from 1984 till today.
